Pellet stoves produce different exhaust values than wood stoves: lower exhaust temperatures, often positive-pressure operation, and a blower connection. This places special demands on the chimney. DruckZugPro checks whether your chimney is suitable for the planned pellet stove.
Highlights
- Pellet stove-specific parameters: blower pressure, low exhaust temperature.
- Condensation risk is automatically checked.
- Certified pellet stove models from the HKI database available.
How it works
- Select your pellet stove from the database or enter the data manually.
- Define your chimney: height, cross-section, material, insulation.
- The result shows whether draught, temperature, and condensation are under control.
FAQ
Why is the chimney more critical for pellet stoves?
Pellet stoves have much lower exhaust temperatures (often 120 to 180 °C). That increases the condensation risk inside the chimney. Many models also run under positive pressure, which calls for an airtight chimney.
Can I use an existing masonry chimney?
Often yes, but not always. DruckZugPro checks whether the combination of cross-section, material, and height still works with the lower exhaust temperatures of a pellet stove.
